    In the OBD2 cars, they switched to a PWM solenoid for the purge and its driven by duty cycle just like the BCS.

    At idle when vac is at its greatest, purge duty cycle is about 100%. As RPMs and load (airflow) increase, the purge duty gradually reduces to 0. At 70 load (about 0 psi), the purge is completely deactivated. There's a few other triggers which also disable it and that when Accell Enrich and Decel Enleanment are greater than a certain value (basically during moderate acceleration/Decel).

    There's a second 3D (rpm and load again) table for the purge which I believe to be fuel compensation but I haven't quite figured out what exactly the values in this table means. The look up value from this table get tied in with another word value which is then Tied in with yet another value which is associated with IPW. This is why I believe it to be a fuel compensation value.

    I've haven't found any tie ins with ignition timing nor the MAP sensor for this system.

    The EGR functions the same way. 3D table lookup which is the base duty cycle value. The only correction for this system is a simple 2D table with a single Load axis which contain the MAP sensor offset values. No tie in with fuel nor timing in this system.

    very good point, threads like this (and posting a dyno chart of a twin turbo V8 and saying it was a dyno from his 3000gt) is what got this guy banned from 3si. He loves to try and make people think he is smart and loves to tell the people that really do know what thy are talking about that thy dont.

    Arguing with this guy is like trying to argue the Equilibrium Theory with a 5 yrs old, he has no idea what he is talking about and no matter how many times you prove him wrong he just does not get it. I spent plenty of time arguing with this tool on 3si before he got banned, it's a waist of time.
