$10-12k Max... But it is going to take some time to sell.

There is a 91 vr4 going on ebay right now in mint condition and only 48k miles and they are asking $12.9k.

It would probably sell before yours does as it is stock. Most buyers will not touch a car that has been modified and that is your biggest issue. You have a very niche market to sell you car too so that is why it will take time. You will never get what you want out of it or get back the money you put into it.

Hell even a classic car full restoration will never see the money back that was put into it......

If you wanted a quick sale sadly enough you'd have to ask $7-8k for it. The car market is rough right now. There's plenty of cars stock with lower miles not selling for $12-13k, cars with lower miles and quite a few more mods netting 500+AWHP not even bringing that much, and even newer 97 and 98 VR-4s not fetching teens right now. It's a bad time to sell.

Not only is the 3/s car marketplace poor, the parts sales are slow as well. It's hard to give away parts these days.

Well these cars will probably never appreciate in value so you'll never get back what you paid for it. That is pretty much any car you buy these days.

As for dumping the money into it, That will never net a good return. Hell I've seen people drop 50-60K into their cars and were lucky to get 1/3 of that back. Welcome to the world of modifying cars. It's the same for any platform.

It's all about finding the right person to sell to. I find that 75% of the new cost is top dollar for used parts. If I get that much I have to wait a month or two sometimes longer. For some that isn't worth the wait. Since I just put the money back into other parts I don't care so much. If you want a quick sale, as in days, you need to price the part 40-50% of the new cost. That's just the way things work. A few years ago it wasn't nearly that bad. We're turning into the 90s DSM clubs because of all the younger owners with barely any disposable income trying to live beyond their means sometimes through their cars too.

I just threw away a bunch of stock parts. Still have a couple I'm trying to sell.

I've been buying/selling on here for years. The market isn't what it used to be. I've had 5 times the success selling parts to other platforms within the last 3 months than I've had on the 3/s forums all year long.

    If possible, I sell elsewhere.

I actually ended up selling this car in December and got pretty much what I asked for . If you wait long enough.. someone will bite!

Congrats! Close to the 17k you started at, or close to the 12k you said was your bottom dollar?
