    Random Photography

So, I have gotten the bug to get back into some photography. I am by no means a professional, but one in particular that I snapped today made me semi-proud of myself.

I'm going to try to keep snapping away but I really need to replace my rechargable AA batteries, or just get me some rechargable CV3's. Comments? Suggestions? Post some of your own random photography if you want too.

I don't know much about photography but I like it. Looks like you're in Baton Rouge.

    Great pic location...

Composure wise is all in the eye of the shooter, but I would have pulled in, and up some, and blurred the foreground with aperture to draw the eye toward the subject in the back.

That may have helped with depth of field with lighting as well pulling the reflection off the water. Something I am playing with is shooting same scene, but in 10-15 minute increments when light is changing in the beginning, or end of day to see the color warmth/coolness changes. Again all in the eye on the person behind the shutter.

Wish I had warm flat light for this one, but you get what comes at you (edit: I also could have used fill flash to pull the shadowed chest and face up)

Again mid day bright harsh light, but was there

I used the foreground foliage blurred to frame the subject in this one

This is more playing with framing, and aperture

I'm still relearning all the settings on my camera. This past week is the first time I have picked it up in over a year.

It's gotta be a setting, cos other pictures are not showing up, either. Off to fix it.

Figured it---Johns Hopkins WiFi has pictures blocked as well as links to them. Guess I'll check it out when we get back home.
