    Thats standard Mike.

If you make a point he can't defend he posts an answer that has the "see I won" attitude but has nothing to do with what you posted.

Its kind of sad when you think about it.

Yeah that comment was kind of a non-sequitur.

Anyway, to clear up any confusion, Microsoft has proposed two different "Surface" tablets. One will run Windows RT on an ARM processor and compete more-or-less directly with the iPad and Android tablets. The other is an Intel-based PC that will run Windows 8.

The $200 price point, which is complete hearsay at this point, is referring to the RT version. Of course, there is no spec sheet for it (we don't even know basic things like screen resolution, much less the actual hardware), and Windows RT is still in development. So it's not clear that a $200 price is even that outlandish or worth getting worked up about.

I'm interested in trying it, but my expectations are clearly a bit lower than yours, Mike.

And just to drive this point home a little more, you can already walk into Best Buy and purchase a netbook running full-blown Windows 7 for $2-300, so a $200 price point actually seems about right.

I'd like to think I know a lot of people. I guess none of them think carrying around an overgrown phone the size of a smaller laptop has a point.
