Lightbulb Car of the Month rules discussion thread

Hey guys! I wanted input for Car Of The Month. I've talked with Alan and Sean Johnson about some ideas and have a starting point, but am not sure where everyone wants to take that information. So, if you could let me know what you think about these points:

    1. Car of the Month every month
1a. If opposed to every month, do you suggest quarterly? etc?
    2. Paid members only
    3. Car of the Month to include any platform
3a. If you oppose to the above, how do you feel about a non-3/S/GTO every month or quarterly
    4. Using the Wiki for member pages
    5. Any other suggestions are greatly welcomed

    Thanks!

Every month = more chances for people to win and show off which is nice.
Separate 3/S of the month and non-3/S
Also i dont know if any other vendors are willing but a small prize like a gift certificate or small item planned ahead of time can be given away. We would be happy to help in that part.

What are your thoughts on the other points like should it only be open to paid members and if you like the idea of a separate COTM for non 3/S cars, should it be just as often or quarterly?

As far as prizes, I think that's a great idea but I'd have to know how Alan wants to work that part with the whole sponsor thing

I personally think it should only be 3/S/Gto of the Month. Not non-3s car of the month. This is a 3/S/GTO forum, not a all car forum.

If both competitions are run, the 3/S/GTO one should be the only one to win prizes.

Just imagine if a new member joined, but the first thing he saw was ride of the month wasn't a 3/S/Gto. That would just be wierd.

Also, alll ride of the month photos should be calendar quality. So that at the end of the year we can have a calendar of the ride of the month winners.

We don't have a wiki here.

As of now the front page is not open for users to post to.

Maybe their listing in the garage would work.
