    Nobody watching the Olympics?

Lots of good stuff going on there...
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

We follow the earth. The earth follows the stars. The stars know their way and though the body dies. The stars will remain, like the waves of the sea and restless slate.

We've been watching on and off. Some swimming, gymnastics, horse jumps, pole vaulting, running, canoeing. Not everyday, but catch it when we can. Been some incredible performances.

We have been watching it every night, off and on. Love seeing the USA do so well in so many events.

equestrian events are one of the "lol, really?" events of the olympics. ditch that and bring back women's softball or something cooler--like bmx half-pipe.

and oh yeah, if you didn't watch US vs. Canada women's soccer last night...you are an unamerican traitor. I swear, women's soccer in this olympics alone has yielded more excitement than an entire season of pro football, basketball and baseball COMBINED. last night's game alone was easily one of the best sports matches (in any sport) of the last 10 years. it was only slightly less epic than the US vs. Brazil quarterfinal in the world-cup last year.

yes, i'll root for any US athlete in the olympics...but there's just something about the US women's soccer team that epitomizes the true American spirit. the drive, the determination, the stamina, the passion...it's all there. our team isn't ranked number one in the world because of talent (although there is a LOT of it). we're #1 because of the mentality the team possesses. you can't describe it, but it's visceral. you are missing the absolute apogee of sports competition if you aren't making an effort to watch every single moment of US women's soccer international play.
