yea works now haha very funny, well anyways I did the test and it's coming back 120 to 130 psi for most cylinders. so I guess this is kind of low.

so by replacing the piston rings and head gascets will this make it so my engine running almost like brand new?

If you're going as far as rings, do a full rebuild, it'll be worth your tine and effort. And yes, you will regain a lot of lost power.

if you're going that far, fuck a simple rebuild--put turbos in it too. hell, you're better off with a used vr4 engine.

haha wish I had the money to put turbos in it now but I'll be lucky if I have enough for the rebuild. really sucks this ended up hapening because I thought I got a pretty good deal on my GT when I bught it was only 4800 but now I guess I know why the price was so low it had issues even though at a glance none of them were aperent. to bad we don't get to max speed test cars before we buy them.
