I went over to Adam's house for a day of tuning. Adam, thank you again! I know we still have some more work to do, but this will get me going and we can dial it in more on the dyno at the gathering.

Some VR-4s at the Jester house.

It is subtle in the picture. But here is a side by side of the Starfire Pearl White vs the OEM Glacier Pearl White.

Getting everything set up and calibrated before the tuning. I had been running in open loop since getting back on the road. 18 mpg has sucked.

Had to calibrate the Innovate on the rear for narrow band simulation then closed loop was finally able to go back on.

Adam smoothing out my timing map, thing is ridiculous jagged stock.

Adam, being a bad ass and working on my tune. We did 12 flashes yesterday. Have her running strong with what we could do.

I have a narrow band I need to replace, need a new battery and need to find out why my wastegates are coming open. We couldn't get more than 14psi, but Adam did get 14psi holding to red line with zero counts of knock!

14psi pulls a lot more on my 19T HLs than 13psi on my OEM 9Bs!

I'm working every night this week after Jaxon goes to bed to get everything ready for the Texas Gathering this weekend. Adam had my car running great, but not setup right to put down a useful number on the dyno.

Mainly because I'm an idiot and was not thinking far enough ahead back when I installed the turbos. I used 7 pound springs in my wastegates to make sure I could not overboost before I was tuned. I wanted to be safe.

But when Adam and I went to tune, we could not get more than 15 pounds since they kept opening up. So now I am removing the wastegates to install a 15 pound spring. Hoping to get 19-20 pounds tuned.

The only hard part is the darn cotter pins. haha

Front one is done. I'll tackle the rear tonight. Also need to get an o2 bung welded in, install back the factor rear narrow band and move my wideband to the downpipe. Darn narrow band simulator is not worth the hassle. (yes DuTTch, you were right. haha)

Curious to what wastegates you have that you can swap springs?

Found 2 boost leaks while taking off all of the pipes. Here is one of them.

The dentistry tools that come in handy so much.

Have to remove that damn rear cotter pin all from feel. Just like Hans said.

Some Ninja Performance love. Replaced my old medicine bottle cap and tape. haha

So, rear cotter pin was the devil. But as of last night, I've removed both wastegates, swapped in the 15psi springs and reinstalled, also uninstalled my wideband/narrow band LC1 from my rear top narrowband location and reinstalled the oem one. Then put her all back together.

All that is left, test fit my new downpipe, mark where I want my wideband to go. Get the new bung welded in, and install. Then tune with Adam to turn up the wick since we hit a wall at 15psi prior. Shooting for 18-20psi on 93 pump. Dyno on Saturday.

Now, I'm looking for opinions because I am on the fence about this. Stock my car came with silver badges, but there are silver and dark grey available. I like the silver because it was on there stock and it matches my wheels. But on the other hand i like the dark grey because it has more contrast and they will match the '99 headlights and center garnish. What say you?

    lol yeah no kidding

I really need to see it in person to decide how much I like it. It's so bright in the pics it's hard to see the lines of the car. It has a real clean look.

I thought white cars came stock with the dark grey metallic badges. At least the Spyders did. If you had silver I think it was wrong. Definitely go with the dark grey.

+1 on the dark grey. Also, what wastegate actuators are you running?
