that is a great idea really. I just get in a hurry sometimes when I want to see if something works you know.

ah, got the silver car home today. It is super pissed. I think the injector insulators are leaking. Either that or the ecu I picked up off ebay is hosed. Feels like a good sized boost leak though.

Spare trans I had shifts great though and no complaints from anything else.

I did the same thing on my front turbo. Busted two bolts but thankfully the rear stayed in tact. PB Blaster and heat didn't work on the front for me.

Got my front turbo off the car the other day... Only bolt that broke was one of the ones on top... But I got lucky and was able to twist it out...

wow these bolts broke off in the turbine housing are the most seizeds thing I have ever seen and I have worked on antique ag equipment. I weld nuts on them and it just breaks off even with the nut. I heat them for several minutes with a map gas torch and then use freeze off on the studs. Then I grab a pipe wrench and put a pipe on the end of it and the whole stud turns like 1/16th of a turn and snaps off below the surface.

off to turning my drill bits into shit.
