So basically like the movie Rampage? This is terrible. Colorado have the death sentence? People like this don't deserve a quick painless death.

This is also why concealed carry is a good thing :/

The fact that such a high percentage of people are so willfully ignorant of guns that they think a CHL holder in that theater would have been a bad thing makes me weep for our future.

My condolences to the families of the deceased.This is just disgusting. I know when we had that shooting in Omaha, there were 4 CCW permit holders at the shooting. Two of which brought their firearms but ended up putting them back in their vehicles because Von Maur had a no ccw allowed sign. It only took a shooting and people's lives for them to change that policy. Those signs and policies have since been taken down.

I remember back in the late '80s or early '90s, during one of those periods where public anti-gun sentiment was peaking, there was a highly touted TV special (I want to say it was on HBO; can't remember for sure) extolling gun control.

It recounted the shooting deaths (18 of them, I think) during a 24-hour period (with a clock ticking in the corner of the screen, natch), with footage and commentary all geared to get the gun-control message across - I remember thinking it was a pretty effective presentation, no matter my own sentiment.

At the time, I was subscribed to New Dimensions, a conservative magazine, which subsequently published a story wherein they gathered information from the same 24-hour period, across the nation, and discovered there were something on the order of 1900 'gun' events where an armed offender met armed resistance and so was frustrated in his efforts to oppress.

I really wish I still had that magazine so I could quote it with more authority.
