I just took my new self build engine apart again due to low compression values which have been traced back to valve issues which the machinist who did the work decently fixed without hassle. (detonated piston fragments found so head wasn't properly cleaned and flushed.) I thought I may have broken a ring when I was installing the pistons so took the engine apart completely. Anyway this engine has neither been installed nor started since this very new rebuild. I did hook it up to a remote starter switch to turn it over several times to check oil pressure and compression. Oil pressure did build up to 30psi so was pretty happy about that but I'm not so sure if these rod bearings look so good and I'm hoping someone in the know could put my mind at ease. Experienced opinions anyone?
