a guy i work with came up with a great solution for the EBT debacle. either cancel the benefits of those who abused it--permanently (the hard way)...or simply garnish their benefits for the same amount they purchased illegally (the easy way).

There should be criminal charges pressed against all offenders. If I go steal something they aren't just going to garnish my wages until it's paid off without first arresting me and putting me in jail.

Wal-Mart said it was "the right decision" to let people buy as much as they wanted, despite there being policies in place by the feds for happenings like this(WM has to foot the losses)...yeah, not because they were being the good guy, but moreso because they knew damn well it would have been an epic riot given the clientele at hand.

Amazing those people can't be bothered to motivate themselves into a self sufficient situation, but in the span of 2 hours masses of them were off their asses and pushing umpteen shopping carts of free food.

and you've pretty much summed up WHY we have such a massive handout problem in the USA. and of course wally world lets it go through--no manager alive gets paid enough to put up with that shit. sadly, they're probably going to lose their bonuses anyways.
