Comprehension is a little lacking today it seems...

And yes.....pretty sure a rover can easily out brake a sport bike. BMW's new race bike with abs and slipper clutch brakes from 60-0 in like 140 feet on a good day.......and your average Joe on a lesser bike with lesser tires doesn't do that great. Anyone want to look up the 60-0 on that model rover? Bikes just don't brake as well as you'd think. I almost slid into a stopped car a couple times over the years. Braking is all about how much tire you have on the ground and with a bike 90% of the braking ability is front tire alone. Hense why bikes have tiny brake rotors for their weight.

And where did I defend the dickhead on the bike?

Edit: p.s. April, in most states its completely legal to share a lane with a car on a bike. I never lane split because most car drivers are dicks who don't even know the law exists to allow bikes to bypass traffic and car drivers open doors and throw shit at you.

From what I've read lane splitting is illegal, except in California where is neither legal/illegal.

Motorcycle lane-splitting bill dies in Nevada Senate

A proposal to make Nevada the first state in the nation to legalize motorcycle lane splitting has died in the state Senate.
The only thing I could find that is "legal" is lane sharing with another motorcycle.

I don't know exactly which Rover that is, but the top of the line (2013+) supercharged ones are in the mid to upper 120's. A GSXR750 (used for example as they are extremely common) will match (and/or beat) that with ease. I assume you're talking about the S1000RR which will do 60-0 in 119-123 feet. In any event, they were nowhere near 60 mph, nor a closed course where you have no distractions, drive straight and just jack the pedal. Apples to bananas comparison.

The guy has assholes swarming him from every side, kicking and punching the vehicle, a screaming daughter and wife...like I said, those punks are lucky as can be they got out of that with their lives.

I had a conversation with someone one time about stopping on a highway. It is ILLEGAL to stop in a lane on a highway unless you are in construction or in a situation where all traffic has to stop. I was told a story about a guy who was driving down the highway, stopped dead for no reason (no other cars around) and was rear ended at 60 mph. The driver who stopped was found at fault.

The law is actually really clear on this even though the enforcement is up to the officer: The rear vehicle is responsible for avoiding a collision, even if it's unavoidable. Say a truck slams on the brakes in front of you, guess what, it's no different than this scenario. It's a very basic road rage incident that you DON'T see the beginning of. It's not about the car hitting the bike.

Think about it. The biker isn't guilty because he got hit. He's guilty because he retaliated for something that is not on that video. Had the rover guy not have continued to escalate the situation (hitting the dude), none of this would have happened, and had the biker not have been a dickhead, it would have stopped at flicking each other off and been over. What I would have done is very simple: hit the brakes when the biker did. Biker behind me would have been injured and it would have been his own fault (failure to maintain control) and the biker in front would have been responsible for a road rage charge.

FWIW, most cars will stop a lot faster than any sportbike. The bike didn't get hit because the rover couldn't stop fast enough.
I beleive you don't see the beginning of the video for a reason, and that reason "benefits" the bikers.

I would have honestly taken more of them out with the bumper. Once stopped off the freeway, and approached, reverse full throttle munching as I go.

BTW there are many myths out there about lane splitting, including in many of my friends. They still swear it is legal, however it is not, in fact it is not even legal to travel in tandem here.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

Umm, if it benefits the biker, then why is it not shown? It is the bikers video right?

Edit: Reread, and unsure what you are saying lol.

I said there is a reason you DON'T see more at the beginning of the video. That reason is likely because they were harassing the SUV driver all along.

He's saying you don't see the beginning because it shows the bikers being dickheads to the rover first.
