I was what you might call a 'regional threat'.
Enough so to warrant an invite to Milwaukee as a 14-year-old to play against a Chinese Junior team.
I didn't play for about a year after that.
Once, in Marietta, Ga., I played against Grady Matthews in a pool tournament.
He beat my ass and told me to "keep it up, Kid - you got a great game".
Then he giggled.
I didn't even know who he was until later - I said to my buddy, who was that cocky SOB?
He must have stared at me for 5 minutes before he told me who 'Grady Matthews' was.
I felt like an idiot.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality
Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.
I wonder if I could still play. It's been over 15 years. This kid I taught went off to college and won a bunch of college stuff came home and challenged me. Day 1 he killed me. day 2 he won. Day 3 was a draw. Day 4 I killed him. Was one of those I'm getting older whats wrong with my eyes things. Just couldn't see the ball well, eventually just the feel and reactions came back though. Wow hard to believe that little kid Casey is now a 30 something year old man. Sheesh. Table Tennis Trophy at NG12. lol

Aha spot the Blue Jays hat.
"This is a ridiculous cause and effect suggestion."
"Yeah, kind of like the sun rising and then morning happening, eh? What are they trying to pull on us?"
"If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart into a microphone."
"It's easy. Take the last f*ck, and let it go, and thus you shall have no more f*cks to give."
pole dancing is the greatest invention since the turbocharger.
kevin- i wanna say we did, but i am really not sure. i didnt play all that well at the nationals because it was after i had torn my ACL and before i had surgery, so i was a little timid... it sucked.
