That said, the market isn't what it was, even if they had tried to sell it, they would've lost a ton. Market on the F40 is only around 750kish for a good example of one. Even with the frame restored to perfect shape and teh car in perfect shape just as it rolled off the factory floor, they would've been lucky to break even. With what the aftermarket parts cost and how that shrinks the size of the market, more likely they would've lost.

Some of the changes they did to the car I liked (the black looks sinister, and the rims fit the car's personality), most I was neutral on. Really not wild about the LED headlights though, somethin about them just looks out of place on the car.
Other than pissing off some purist you're wrong Bryan. If I was selling the car I wouldn't have painted it black but other than that no damn way they were losing money.

The people have spoken the lambo sucks and shouldn't even be compared the gas monkey F40 lol

They made 100k profit selling out their half to the other co-owner.

He said it was the best driving car he'd ever driven also, and if you watch the show you know that guy (money bags) has driven a LOT of expensive cars. I thought he was crazy for getting out then though, he could have got 250K I believe.

I'm tellin you, look up the actual value of these cars. There are pristine non wrecked vehicles with less than 5k selling for 500-600k. I just find it hard to believe that it would've actually fetched a million at auction like they claim.

Besides, it's a reality show. I take pretty much everything from it with a grain of salt. Would be pretty easy for them to just have Dennis hand over 50k in cash and say he's going to write a check for the rest and say that they made 100k profit then actually pay market price. Or maybe I'm just a cynic.

As soon as that thing was crashed and mangled was the end of what a "purist" wanted in a "real deal F40" LOL. Might as well have fun with it, and I loved it black (probably because I hate red).

Oh and one last thing about this, like they said in the show. The guys that let a F40 sit in their garage and just show it to some visiting friends once and a while are the real dicks. That car is for kicking ass and taking names.
