I bleed black and gold for the Steelers and blue and gold for the Mountaineers, but if someone ruined a damn Lambo with a blue/gold or black/gold fiasco like that car, they would need shot.

@Paul - Just the actual shade of orange itself. Really pops off the purple.
@Brian - For what it's worth, if they can afford a Lambo, they already have proven they make better decisions to than me. Whatever they want to do wth it is their call. Honestly, I view it kind of like black F40 that that shop mangled on Fast n Loud. I personally like the black, but I understand why purists would be upset that it's no longer red. COurse considering the hack job they did to it, no purist would've bought it anyhow.
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts
I don't see how Gas Monkey hacked that F40. They spent a ton of money fixing that thing using trained Ferrari mechanics and shops.
The only "hack" some people might consider is painting it black, and that car looks SOOOOOOO much better in black.
They had about 295,000 tied up in parts and labor.
Industry standard was straightening pieces within 3mm, and they got it within 1mm.
and again it looks better in black![]()
Hack in the sense that they changed quite a bit from what a purist would want in the car. The LED head lights, louvers where the pop ups previously were, modified suspension, new wheels, turbos, interior stuff and black paint would all be big no nos to someone who wants the real deal F40. That said, the market isn't what it was, even if they had tried to sell it, they would've lost a ton. Market on the F40 is only around 750kish for a good example of one. Even with the frame restored to perfect shape and teh car in perfect shape just as it rolled off the factory floor, they would've been lucky to break even. With what the aftermarket parts cost and how that shrinks the size of the market, more likely they would've lost.
Some of the changes they did to the car I liked (the black looks sinister, and the rims fit the car's personality), most I was neutral on. Really not wild about the LED headlights though, somethin about them just looks out of place on the car.
