I'm honestly curious, would you get in legal trouble for driving that truck around if all the stickers were about black people but equally offensive? Stuff like "the only good n-gger is a dead n-gger" or "no reparations for obsolete farm equipment", etc.
that's why i don't have tolerance for the black panthers, the kkk, or any of a host of other fringe elements. sure you can dish it out, but can you take it in return?
that's where islam comes into play. making fun of islam (which is no different than making fun of christianity, hinduism, zoroastrianism, etc) is somehow punishable by death. you can't even draw a cartoon of muhammad without someone issuing a death fatwa against you. seriously, how f'd up is that?
don't get me wrong, most of those stickers are woefully stupid if not dangerous. that said, islam DESERVES the reputation it has earned. even the westboro baptist church isn't strapping bombs on their kids and sending them into crowded public buildings. they point to the crusades; i point to the muslim occupation of the iberian peninsula. you can't use ancient history to justify militantism. every religion in the world (save a select few) have had their dark moments. most of them have gotten with the 21st century and learned to live with religious tolerance. even the tamil tigers kept their attacks to the localized arena.
islam (despite what the pacifist elements claim) seeks a new caliphate. ruled by nothing other than sharia law, as dictated by divinely-selected imams. this would be fine and dandy if they wanted to stick to their corner of the globe. when the decided to start exporting their shit, it's time to take action. i'm not about to stand for sharia law being pushed down my throat. and the day that america decides to let subsections of her populace abide by sharia law instead of constitutional law; i'm going to take up arms against my brothers. this is the land of religious freedom. if you want to live in a land of religious dictates, it's about 8,000 miles east of the carolinas.

and no, freedom of religion does NOT mean the freedom to invent and practice your own religious legal system.
