You do realize the purpose of that banner don't you? That ship behind him had accomplished their mission. The idiot left media ran with it saying that Bush meant the mission in Iraq had been completed, when that was not what was meant by it at all.

i don't give 2 flips of a rat's ass what his INTENT was; to the public at large--and not just the left--his action appeared to say that "the war was over". actually, in light of the public support for the military lost during vietnam (which, mind you, he was serving during--even though his cush ass never deployed), he should have known better than to even remotely risk misleading the public on the duration that would be necessary to accomplish the mission.

you don't prep the nation for a decade of nation building by patting yourself on the back after 3 months. this is why i don't vote: when the choice is a w. bush vs. kerry--seppuku is a more palatable alternative than either.
