I swear one of the girls in those grad pics looks just like someone I work with...
"This is a ridiculous cause and effect suggestion."
"Yeah, kind of like the sun rising and then morning happening, eh? What are they trying to pull on us?"

"If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart into a microphone."

"It's easy. Take the last f*ck, and let it go, and thus you shall have no more f*cks to give."

This is some crap. Apparently a judge recently ruled that "expressive dancing" is not allowed at certain public memorials. As a Social and Criminal Justice Major (graduating in August), I feel as if the First Amendment is being violated so bad in this case. They are not causing harm to anyone, and thus have the freedom of speech to do what they want. In my opinion, our forefathers, like Jefferson, wanted us to be able to express ourselves freely. Hell, you can burn an American Flag in plug in pure hatred of America, but you can't Dance in Jefferson's memorial? What has this country come to?

    What... The... Fuck.

The irony of that taking place at the Jefferson memorial is just mind blowing.

Can't dance at the Jefferson Memorial, but you can protest at a soldiers funeral. WTF is wrong with this?

Maybe it's because I'm old that I see that video differently. Those kids were told what would happen if they danced, but they chose to do it anyway. One kid is even wearing a shirt that says "Disobey" so they seemed to have this all planned out. The park service has to make the memorials open to everyone and some tourists may not want to visit a memorial where some sort of organized protest is going on. I would have tazed the fockers myself, but that's just me.

For a protest, there were no signs, there was no yelling... I get the feeling we only got half the story, but still. Who wouldn't want to visit the memorial because some people are dancing?

I'm probably older than you and I see it as some guys protesting a law that is clearly unconstitutional. It is amazing to me how we have have a country run by people who take an oath to defend the constitution yet have apparently never read it or lack the reading comprehension of a 2 year old. Seperation of church and state is not in it. Right to bear arms against the government is. Making laws that the exempt them selves from, a complete and blatant violation. I'm just glad I was't around them doing this cause. A. I can't dance B. I would have had to dance anyway. C. The would have probalby just shot me on sight. lol

Was thinking the same thing. I can't dance, but I probably would just because that law is blatantly unconstitutional. Freedom of speech is only limited when it can cause physical harm to someone, like the common example, yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater. That memorial is public property and freedom of speech and expression is protected, or supposed to be...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
    Straight from the First Amendment.
