Oh, Paul - I had a conversation with the local sheriff a while back; he's been sheriff forever, and way back when I was getting divorced, he denied me a carry - in "the heat of the divorce, etc, etc..." - while he abided my ex AND her boyfriend carrying illegally and unregistered.

20 years later I run into him on the street; he says "I hear you're looking to buy a pistol".
