Today was demotivating. Had a dealership on the phone for a vehicle I really wanted. Got them to price it very reasonably. Asked for an invoice so I could pay for it. Hung up and called my insurance company to get it covered. Open up my mail, and invoice is old-fashioned paper copy, not something for electronic funds transfer. So I call back to get the deposit/bank info, and they tell me that someone just put a deposit on it... I never even asked to put a deposit on it; I was literally going to transfer the full amount directly from bank to bank.

Story of my life. *punches self repeatedly in gonads for good measure*

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

Always put a deposit down. They used you against another interested party. Been there, except I was the one screwing the other person out of the car.

    DeMotivators

Demotivating that not a single person (man or woman) tried to get between them when they were standing. Looked like that could have been defused easily, two to three times. With no one stopping them, egos/pride required they keep going and end up on the ground again.

I agree with the assessment about being sued for trying to be a good Samaritan.

pretty much. you get between people like this and someone gets hurt and your ass is getting sued. then there's also the risk that you get hurt in the process too. I wouldn't go anywhere near those 2.

    Yep, sad but true

The saddest part is that kid. He's going to be one fine piece of trash.
