I'll note that this is at least the 2nd or 3rd time in recent history (of which I can recall) where the news media got up in arms about one story, yet completely disregarded a similar story where the races were reversed. Tray-von's case was another. Although, interestingly enough, missing white woman is more important than missing black woman--so the irony isn't exactly lost on me.
