Not all engineers were created equally? I would think just about anyone in engineering would get it, but perhaps only those in computer fields would get it right away. In high school and in college I had to do base conversions, so it was pretty obvious to me.

yeah, from what I've found it's a comp field thing. so splain' to me what's the purpose of base conversions?
