perks? meh. there's enough to dislike on both sides of the ocean. my country taking a big steaming pile on my ability to mail-order stuff while serving my country---that's a big downside. i appreciate where i've been--respectfully.

'murica is teh greatest111!!!111!!! attitude is why many areas of the world dislike us so much. i'm not saying it isn't true (or at least it used to be)...but you don't go flaunting it in everyone's faces.

i also won't apologize for being vehemently opposed to any beverages made by ab-inbev. it's why i rarely drink leffe anymore.

Agreed. Ethnocentrism is everywhere. That said, Germany has a balanced budget and a thriving economy...they deserve some bragging rights. The dutch aren't bad either...they like to party hard a LOT.

Nobody here is rallying around "murica" as you say it. It's that every other post of yours is a segue about how you are now in Germany. And as I said, we get it.
