Also, we can get just about any beer under the sun here and have the perks of not living in Europe at the same time.

I'm a little late on the bacon discussion, but I just don't get the whole bacon thing. I'd rather have my burger without bacon, sausage with my scrambled eggs, and I don't get all these bacon flavored stuff nowadays. I can't tell you the last time I had any bacon, might have been added on a pizza I had. That said, there are always exceptions...

I had this at Old Chicago when I did the round-the-world beer tour. (IMHO it tastes like tequila and soy sauce.
