Well buying the ethanol sensor pushed me over the edge. It's huge and I want to put it in the corner where the battery is. Bye battery.

Yeah I got the box and switch and everything. Might as well do it right.

I can't run around LA with a giant labeled battery cutoff switch, so I will have to find a way to hide it for the street.

Good luck with that. I have been racking my brain on how to do that. Also with GEL batteries you should not have to have a box, there is nothing to vent.

Has anyone hidden their cutoff behind the license plate like this guy? I was thinking you could make a license plate frame that would push the plate out a bit.

Also I read somewhere that it has to be on the ground side - is that for real? Would they actually check that? Mine would still kill the engine because it's before the pump feeds. Hopefully that's enough.

Are you sure it would stop running? If the electrical up front is still grounded and you disconnect the battery the alternator will still keep the car running.

Uh, let me think about that. This is all speculative right now since I haven't wired it up yet.

Thats how it is. I remember I played hell trying to wire my brother's cut off for his dirt track car until I figured out what a dumbass I was. Switched the switch to kill ground and voila, it worked.
