I've been thinking about it also but some people seem to have lots of issues with it.

There are no issues with wires heating up unless you use the wrong wire. Stereo wiring you can't use and you need to run 0 or 00 gauge wire because of voltage drop over the distance of the run.

If you run a battery to the hatch, make sure to get a sealed box and seal it maybe have an emergency cut-off switch and mount the battery box to the chassis. Where the stock CD changer is, you can relocate that to the rear seat backs.

Note: The production order is assigned based on the order of the serial number.

Not everybody does, I'm sure people that do have not grounded them well or something. Rob had trouble out of his at NG and he had heavy duty stuff. I think his issue was cheap wiring though. It was heavy gauge but I noticed after he spliced it that the wire looked like copper coated aluminum.

I did have trouble with the ground though. At first I tried to make the install as "classy" as possible using a random ground hidden by the plastic panels, but in the end I bolted it down to the trunk floor itself. IIRC I have a Taylor kit.
