    Can water/meth ruin a boost controller?

    After hooking up a AEM water/meth kit i started to wonder if i would have any issues with the water/meth mist destroying my electronic boost controller. Obviously there are vacuum lines going from the intercooler piping (where the water/meth is injected) to the electronic boost controller’s stepper motor.

    Ive never heard of anyone having issues and couldn’t find anything online. Anyone got any incite? Or is anyone running water meth with an EBC?

    Currently I’ve got an HKS EVC Pro if it makes a difference.

    EDIT: so far ive gone through 1/2 gal of water/meth without any issues. however im not sure if i might run into trouble in the future...
    the basic go fast bits...
    forged short block, Billet DR1000's, 680cc injectors, meth inj, FMIC, MAFT, Apexi Neo, hotwired 255lph fuel pump.

    It makes the MBC's rust up in no time at all. I tapped a line for my mbc on the rear turbo pipe

    Maybe you should switch over to an EBC that supports inexpensive but good boost solenoids (ie. AEM/Mac valve). These solenoids are $17.50 direct from macvalve.com

    Idk if it was you or someone else's old thread, but a similar question was asked in the past. Have you considered just moving your boost source for the solenoid upstream from the nozzle? That is how I ran/set up an AEM and Blitz.

    The EVC has 2 (maybe 3) boost lines coming off it. The first one goes to the intercooler piping before the throttle body and another line goes to a vac/boost source after the throttle body (intake manifold). i can move one of the lines further down the intercooler piping so that it gets the boost/vac source before the w/m injector but no matter what im stuck with having one vac line coming off the intake manifold. all i can think of is installing a small catch can in-between the intake manifold and the boost controller.

    the "sensor" line is not so bad as the one that feeds the boost to the wastegate actuators since there is FLOW through that line you need to be careful with it. The sensor line has no flow, so should be ok.
