    Nah, not really.

But when we are purposely MTM, he stops posting, which makes me think we've genuinely hurt him, which inclines me not to post.

Btw, an internet appellation such as "whacko" can be overridden by use of signature-only threads indicating agreement with the disputer - Mike, in this case - or, as is equally likely, the disputing person would be required to have the word - "whacko' - included behind his profile-name for a period of six months.

The person formalizing the dispute and the person in receipt of it must agree beforehand as to the number of signatures required.

Good God, Mike could dope that out, Bobby.

Might take him a while, but - more than 4 minutes, certainly.

I don't think everybody in America could agree that people are actually alive.

It's crazy that 99% of people believe that the answer is somewhere between dumping used oil in your street for an oil change, driving coal fired steam cars, and holding your breath while walking to work to limit c02, yet 0% of us can agree where that line is.

I believe, as a group - this group, the one that discusses such issues - our general views are pretty similar.

I think there's more agreement than you might guess.

The irony is that the world's largest concentrations of carbon are in TREES. Yes, the same ones people would burn for "Green Energy". Yet you don't hear about wood-burning as a sin of mankind.

If Democrats were really concerned about the environment, and carbon emissions, they'd stop reproducing. Human breathe, need transportation, need heat, burn energy, need land to live (displace trees and plants), etc.

I took a modern global history class a year or two back. Something interesting is that the ag industry produces more carbon and other greenhouse gasses than the entire transportation sector. But getting rid of all the tasty cows is not nearly as often a topic by the hippies.

Now that being said, I do think if humans weren't on the planet the global warming, climate change, whatever wouldn't be happening at the rate it is now. BUT I will be damned if I stop driving an internal combustion vehicle and go vegan. Not worth it.

Humans are smart, we will find a "greener" alternative someday that is economically viable. I think we need to be more worried about our impact as far as pollution goes, particularly the oceans, than CO2 emissions.

Conservation/environmentalism is best practiced as a cultural more; this ensures the proper beliefs are in our roots, where they do the most good.

Preemptive knee-jerk government regulations be stoopid, and misguided efforts such as Solyndra demonstrate, well....when you waste tax-dollars on that scale, you should be drawn and quartered, not congratulated on your intent and touted for re-election.
