Cliffs: top recruit commits to Alabama with a big ole Auburn tattoo on his forearm.
Texas' 2013 recruiting class, while not critical for on-field success in 2013, went from elite to disappointing with the commitment and subsequent decommitments of several top recruits. The biggest were Ricky Seals Jones (WR/TE - A&M) and A'Shawn Robinson (DT - Alabama), but Texas failed to secure a single D-lineman or RB in this class... The 4 or 5 O-line recruits are top notch and the only position we recruited well. And the QB (Swoopes) looks just as likely to end up at TE or LB as he does QB. "DBU" had to settle for 2nd teir DB's... We didn't bring in anyone that will immediately improve our defense, so we should expect to give up 100 points per game next year since we lost Vacarro and Okafor, who both look like 2nd round picks. We seem to be going for dual threat QB's and the current '13 depth chart looks like: Ash (Jr), McCoy (Sr), Brewer (Fr-RS in '12), Overstreet (Fr-RS in '12), Swoopes (RS)... McCoy can't graduate soon enough. Brewer is the only pocket QB in the group. So if we intend to keep running the Greg Davis-esque offense we showed in the Alamo Bowl, where Ash will be asked to run a lot, at least we have some similar QB's behind him...

Everyone is going "where da F is Texas"?
Swoopes is your QB of the future?
No joke... Urban stole your linebacker... Mac is going to catch some heat for losing so many good players from your state.“Once regarded as a possible five-star prospect, Swoopes raised a number of red flags during his senior year,” Glicksman writes. “He completed just 42 percent of his passes as Whitewright finished 1-9. He still possesses enormous potential, but he appears to need significant skill work before making a serious run at the Longhorns’ starting spot.”
The guy certainly does stuff Tressel couldn't do.
Michigan is going to be Urbans byiatch just like they were Tressels...
