these must be the new "obama" standards. not that requiring higher GPA's would improve the system--professors would be coerced into handing out high grades to complete derps--just so they can continue to play football.

Pretty sure that's a typo. SEC academic honor roll is very competitive. Usually their featured players have at least a 3.5.

Gotta have a cumulative 3.0 or a 3.0 the previous year. Looks like home boy qualified with the latter.

I know you all love to think that the SEC academic standards are just sooooo low, but we have our fair share of Rhodes scholar finalist athletes as well. But hey, grasp at straws all you want. We all love to hate the SEC if we aren't part of the most dominant conference in the NCAA.
