Hey, don't forget Ole Miss and Missouri. And Mississippi State is in a race to the bottom.
That's a lot of teams that range from really bad to quite bad.
So we should expect Texas to go 9-3, aggy to go 10-2, and play each other in the Cotton Bowl. This after A&M went 7-6 a year ago and 4-5 in the B12... And oh yeah, lost to Case McCoy and a completely inept offense in college station. Fuck it.

Interesting product of the bottom half of the 14-team SEC being lousy -
For reference, week 1, Florida 27 vs Bowling Green 14 & week 10, Florida 27 vs LaLa 20....BCS
4 Alabama 9-1 (LSU only quality win)
5 Georgia 9-1 (Florida only quality win)
6 Florida 9-1 (South Carolina & LSU)
7 LSU 8-2 (South Carolina & A&M)
8 Texas A&M 8-2 (Alabama)
9 South Carolina 8-2 (Georgia)
LaLa, an upper-middle Sun Belt team, was destroyed by Oklahoma State 65-24.
I think we're seeing with A&M going to the SEC that the SEC isn't as good as people thought.
eyah but OMG SEC SEC! SEC! SEC! omg I can't wait till the playoffs this stupidity will be over.
I just hope the morons don't let Alabama play Florida this yeah because of course the SEC simply can't lose.
real 3s'ers have NoCar transfer cases...
I wouldn't go that far. The SEC has been as advertised over the past...well, forever, but the SEC this year is definitely the weakest it has been in a long time in terms of top to bottom strength. TAMU is simply benefiting from that. Let's not forget that TAMU lost to a very average Florida and LSU team.
Manziel also really didn't have the kind of performance and knowledge he does now.
While the SEC teams may not look great this year, it's hard to say. Almost half the league is in the top 10 of the BCS (Bama, UGA, A&M, LSU, SC, FL), the mid and lower level teams (Miss State, Old Miss, Vandy, Tennessee, Mizzou and Ark) would probably be competitive in other conferences. We will have to wait till bowl season to see how it shakes out, but I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC again does very well against other conferences after beating the piss out of each other all year.
On to a topic unfortunately more relevant: Paul is going to win 100 bucks when Dooley gets fired next week after TN chokes and loses to Vandy :P
That game was brutal to watch. Candidates for the new TN job? I've heard Gruden but I find it unlikely, and given TN's financial straits right now they will have to take a chance on an unproven name most likely, or maybe rehire Fulmer who loves UT enough to (probably) take a huge pay cut to be affordable.
