    Are you talking 60 per head including valvetrain? if so, I don't need the valve train... I have new valve train stuff and camshafts.

    It's 45 per head without cam shafts, plus a 10 core (per head). Unfortunately they don't have an option for just the bare heads.

    Well, made some accomplishment today...

    Made the switches panel, haven't put all of the switches in because I need to evaluate the wiring a little more and determine what I want to control by switch. I wrapped it just like the gauges cluster.

    Glad to see this build coming along.

    There has to be a reason people said the conrods were different. Not that many people have built a SOHC motor with the availability of the DOHC and all.

    I have found out that the differences are really in the construction of the rods and the rod studs are slightly different design, but everything else checks out.

    Flywheel is in. Next step is to get the cylinder heads... and proceed onward with the clutch kit, solid motor mounts, and intercooler kit. I might also be able to snag up a single turbo exhaust manifold set someone is selling on the other forums.

    Are the exhaust manifold flange patterns the same between SOHC and DOHC?

    i know that the exhaust ports on the heads are different (shape & size), don't know about the bolt pattern. pretty sure that those are different, too.

    No I would be cutting the flanges off the already built manifolds and welding on new SOHC flanges. But to answer your question, the bolt patterns are the same.
