    Thank You, NG Attendees

I had a lot of time to think on my way home today... I just really needed to say "thank you" to everyone who attended this year's event. Also, for all the understanding you offered. As many of you know, I've had a REALLY rough time for the past month or so, all leading up to the NG, then I also received some bad news during the event itself. It was very difficult for me to focus and get things done, and I was terrified I'd fail or upset someone. Thank you to everyone who understood when things weren't perfect or up to par for me, and to all those who offered hugs when they could just tell I needed them. While I'm a little disappointed in my overall performance last week, I still feel pretty good about it under the circumstances.

Most of all, thanks for letting me finally cut loose, have a little fun (OMG the shopping cart races were the best!!), and for not judging. I'm so lucky to have so many people who care.

The 3/S Community is amazing. I get sad every time an NG comes to a close, although this time I was just happy to get out of the hell-hole I called a hotel. I'm sorry if anyone has any issues... I wouldn't doubt it if we did. Please check your bills and credit card statements carefully. I don't expect any problems, but I wouldn't put it past them. Looking out at an empty parking lot this morning was so depressing. All the boys took their toys and left me.

Thanks for always supporting what we do. I'm so excited to plan yet another one of these amazing gatherings. I can't say where yet (we've been through this), but I'm excited to finalize everything and let you know as soon as possible. Thanks, too, for giving me the time to make my own decision and for understanding that I needed to do that despite my promise last year, and for allowing me the honor of doing this again.

A special thanks to all our sponsors. You guys are the best group to work with!! You ask almost nothing of me, and are grateful for anything I manage to do. You support me no matter what, then make me cry (happy tears - I just cry a lot) at the banquet every time. I never thought I'd have that when I first took this thing on... I'm not a car girl. Or at least I wasn't. I'm still not, but I'm definitely a 3/S girl.

And last, but not least, thank you to everyone who helped out with this event. From the guys who carried stuff into the banquet, who moved registration, set up the autocross, pushed me in a wheelie chair or a shopping cart (Terry - as the reigning champs I think we need to find new challengers for next year and make this an official event!!), people who took things out of my hands just to help, and even those who offered a bottle of water when I wasn't feeling so well... Alan and Bob, who do so much more than people realize... Just thanks to everyone who supports us, helps us, and does even the seemingly small things that mean so much to me.

In the meantime, start saving your pennies and getting ready for next year. I really want to make it the biggest and best one yet. People need to see what this community is about, and how tightly they can pull together.

Thanks again, everyone. You always make my job easier than I ever thought it could be, and you make me remember what it is to enjoy life a little, even when it seems pretty crummy. I'm sorry for the long post - there's just a tons of thank you's to say after such a great week.

Oh yeah... And to everyone who attended, thank you for not getting me in any trouble with anyone. No Speed-O Cowboys (I'm thankful for that every year that we're not blessed by them), no glass in the pool, no nothing that I got yelled at for. So THANK YOU! You made me proud yet again!

I really hope there are Speedo Cowboys next year if I am thinking of the right thing. I also hope I manage to make it. I'm glad everything went smooth. =]

I'll be back and it's always a blast to be apart of. I think we all showed you just what you mean to us at the banquet. I for one respect and admire all you do for us.
