But I don't live on that stretch of road, nor do I know why the speed limit is set the way it is, but it is my job to obey it or pay the consequences if caught.

I will be the first to say I hate cops with a passion. You guys say for every 1 bad cop out there, there are 99 good ones. I have yet to see one. I could go into countless stories about how my car was broken into or hit by another car and when I tried to file a police report I was told "it's not worth their time to come out", how I have been pulled over at stop signs for "routine checks" when I was doing nothing wrong, how I've been pulled over with my cruise control set to the exact speed limit then when I asked why I was pulled over the officer walked around my car came back to the window and smiled then said "no front plate" when it's obvious he had no reason to pull me over, then he gives me a smog ref ticket when he can't even tell me one thing that was "illegal" on my car, how a cop lied and testified against himself in court about where he pulled me over then changed his story and claimed I was speeding in a lower speed zone [I was going 50 in a 45, he said I was going 50 in a 40], about the time I was pulled out of my own house and told I didn't live there and when I offered to get some mail to prove I lived there I was not allowed back into my own house to PROVE I lived there, about the time some guys tried to jump me but I had seen a cop around the corner so I went back over to him and told him some guys were trying to jump me and he said "I deserved to be jumped because of the way I was dressed", about the time some undercover cops were talking shit to me and harassing me and when I stood up to them they flashed their badges and threatened to arrest me for standing up for myself, when I was put in handcuffs because my brother ditched me at a club and I had to walk 9 miles home at 2am and I was accused of "suspicious activity" because I was out late at night, and when I explained what happened they ran my ID asked where I lived and told me I was allowed to walk home [they damn sure didn't offer me a ride], and so many more. Point is a lot of you guys say "Oh if you are speeding then you are breaking the law and have no right to complain" but I been harassed so many times when I was doing nothing wrong in and out of a car. Then you act like if a cop lets you go when you weren't even doing anything wrong in the first place, he is a cool cop..... he's not a cool cop if he had no reason to be harassing you in the first place.

Last night I went to meet up with some car buddies at a mall, we do a mini meet every other week and all go out to eat dinner and actually give business to the restaurants in the mall. as soon as I got off the off ramp on the freeway I was followed for about a mile to the mall, through the mall parking lot then up to the roof of the parking garage where we all meet up. Cop asked what we were doing, and the guys who were already up there said they were just waiting on me and we were all going to get dinner. The cop waited for us to get in the elevator and start heading down before he left.... I was not traveling in a line of cars, it was just me. I was not speeding, I was not blasting music, my tags are good, there was not one legitimate reason for him to follow me. I know he followed me because I'm in a sports car .....my DD stealth which is bone stock, no loud exhaust [I even swapped the cone air filter for a stock one to avoid harassment if a cop ever made me pop my hood]. My car is quiet, it's legal, but I get escorted from the freeway until I park..... Is this a "cool cop" because he didn't harass me and run my license or pop my hood when he had absolutely no reason to follow me in the first place? I'm sorry, I think following me and running my plates is harassment enough as I never broke one law. The cop was probably just smart enough to know he had nothing on me. I'm not saying every cop out there is bad. I'm just saying whether I was harassed for no reason or I even went to a cop for help, not a single one of them has ever helped me in the least bit after countless run ins with them. They say power corrupts, and when cops enforce the laws and are allowed to be above them they have all of the power. This guy killed 2 innocent people because he was irresponsible and I don't know what the laws are where this happened but it's illegal to text or talk on the phone unless you have a hands free headset to talk here in CA. This guy wants money so he can be taken care of after the injuries HE CAUSED HIMSELF.... I say take care of the guy, give him a cot and 3 hots.... in jail, for manslaughter.

One bad apple spoils the bunch. It is sad to see that someone can be such a piece of shit. The "Police" are nothing but a name and a badge, it still does not change the fact that if you strip him of both, he is a person just like you and I. Everyone is different, you have good and bad people...I hate to say it but I wonder how much good he has done in his time he served? Yea, what he did was wrong and he should be looking at a life sentence instead of 30days probation.

I plan on getting on with the Police. I have had to wait several years to apply again before my driving record is clean again.

I went to school with several guys who ended up being State Troopers. Most of them were pretty cool and would give you a break. I had to laugh about this one that lived on the same street that a buddy of mine did. This trooper had apparently given damn near everyone on his street a speeding ticket! He would set in his driveway spotting cars with a radar gun! Now that is dedication!

I'd do the same damn thing...people drive entirely to fast through neighborhoods. I have a 4 way stop right in front of my house and EVERYONE runs it, it's also a DOT certified sign so they can get a ticket for it.

Our neighborhood is 25 MPH but very few go that slow...mostly 40 MPH. There are a lot of kids around, too.

Good ole ganger with his inability to see that his hate of cops is infantile and entirely self- inflicted
