Here's my 1450 cubic inch Treadstone Front Mount Intercooler 2 (X) bigger than Greddy

    Here's the core dimensions for record: 13" x 4 3/4" x 23 1/2"

Here's a comparo with one of my old sets of Gene's sidemounts, which are rougly 850 cubic inches.

It even has an inernal shroud to distribute airflow evenly from the top of the core to the bottom:

I was able to gain 60whp at 30psi on my Billet Evo III turbo's with this core vs. my old Greddy FMIC which was 11" x 3" x 22". This core is da bomb. Best $350 i ever spent for 60 more whp.

On to more testing with MTC Stage 3's when I get them put in .

Very nice. I will be considering a thicker core for my next build and that's a good price. I was looking at the ETS 5" core at a much higher price.

That's the TR12 intercooler, right? Looks badass. Think that intercooler would be crazy overkill for a mere DR650 setup? Wonder if it would pass more air through to the radiator than my current Gene's FMIC setup?

Treadstone told me they use the same exact cores ETS uses. The only difference is the end tanks.

I will be getting the 3.5 tr12 myself.

Always heard that ETS cores passed more air through to the radiator. Which is a good thing for me. The 3.5" sounds like a good plan.

$350, not bad. I am still using a cxracing 3"....I was hitting 170 degree intake temps last summer. EEK. Do you have an overall length measurement by chance?

Really something to be said for a quality, efficient, fmic. There was a HUGE difference when I switched from a DarkSideRacing(22x11x3) core to a Vibrant(25x12x3.5). IAT's dropped drastically, and stayed much more consistent. Plus, it filled up the entire mouth of the 99 opening as it's ~32" total with endtanks. Negated the need for ducting as the air had no choice but to flow straight through.

EDIT - and I had pusher fans between the fmic and the rad.(no a/c)
