And there was a time when service was not optional. To all who served and sacrificed, voluntarily or otherwise, I salute you and I thank you. May God repose all who gave their all and grant comfort and healing to those they left behind. Be with all who go today in harm's way. Most of all, Lord, never let us forget what we owe our heroes, past, present and future. Without them, we could not go in peace.
