I can't think of any drug that makes you want to eat a person. Someone cut whatever he was on with some fucked up shit...
I heard he was on a drug called "Bath Salt". Appearently it makes the user highly aggressive, gives super human strength, removes sense of pain, and causes an oral fixation. One of the articles I read said it took 6-7 guys to restrain the 150 pound man. An officers reported it felt like they were trying to take down a 250 to 300 pound man. All of which happened after the man had been shot. Hard to tell which is the right story. Some articles say he was shot once, others say he was shot multiple times.

...the zombie was naked too...kinda of weird!! the news here in miami is that the drug is lsd mixed with some other stuff. There was another case where a 20-something year old guy was attacking another person, and he was totally naked and trying to bite. The cops came and had to tase him more than six times. He eventuallly died in the hospital and the family is suing for police misconduct. He was also high on lsd and some other drug. This case is very similar to the one the OP is referring too. Maybe miami is raccoon city???
