The active exhuast, the active aero, the suspension system, the lighting control, the air bag, and the remotes are all independent functions. The ECU only gets notified when the active exhaust is turned on for fuel tuning.

This is very interesting to me. My active exhaust doesnt work, but the switch does. Does the ECU look to the switch or to a limit switch on the motor? And is there much to gain by the ECU knowing the exhaust is free flowing?

And if it is on the switch is there any way we can take advantage of it for other purposes programatically?

OK, this active exhaust affecting the fuel map discussion needs to be discussed please. I have removed all but the motor, and wonder if this affect my performance via the switch still. If I remove the motor, or unplug, what affect if any does this have, and what is needed to disabled said affect?

If this needs to go in the Chrome thread, let me know I will move it...

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

This applies only to those using the stock ROM.

If you no longer have an active exhaust system, then don't worry about it. Just don't play with the switch.

If you still have a working active exhaust system, then after you are done tuning, check your tune with the active exhaust on. Don't tune with the active exhaust on.

If you are using Chrome, check with Greg.

There are still some unknowns with regards to this system....

Ok... Time for a breather. I will be dropping the last of the outstanding orders in the mail Wednesday. Then I am on military orders for four days... So if you order, you mighty not get a response until Monday June 25...

    Thank You!
