Single shot 3" exhaust no muffler with 2 resinators, one in the stock cat location and one closer to the rear = very deep and growling tone...wish I had a video but heard it at the track once.

if you want deep & loud, 2.5" single shot will do it--i promise you that. heck, just eliminating the cats will make your exhaust loud.
Ive read that it'd sound either awesome or horrible. I really dont want to take the chance. When you say eliminate cats, do you mean replace it with a test pipe?

Woah.. $$ Im only in highschool

Should I just ditch my original idea, and get either 3sx or OBX headers.. possibly with a test pipe? Thisll almost definitely help me performance wise; but how would it affect the sound?

if you want "performance", catless single-shot is the way to go. period. it won't do that much for N/A...but that's as good as you can ask for.

Catless helps a good bit on a NA, but you want to make sure to have some kind of resonator or it will sound like ass. I dropped .25 in the 1/4 with just the addition of a test pipe.

agreed. i don't know if any single shot's DON'T have a resonator....because of that reason.
