    Before I go replacing stuff...

I want to make sure I know what needs to be replaced. I'm pretty sure it's the TOB. I get a high pitched squealing noise when my car is idling and the clutch is out, this has been going on for about 6 months. Yesterday, I lost all resistance in the clutch pedal and felt a VERY slight grind while pushing it in and a squelching noise when depressed about half way. I'm not driving it till I fix it.

    Bump!

I checked the clutch fluid and there are no leaks so I'm assuming the loss of resistance on the pedal is related to the TOB. Any suggestions? Also, is this a one man job?

Sounds like a tob issue to me.

Yes, it's a one man job, but it's considerably easier if you have a cherry picker handy. If so, you just fasten the chain to a couple bolts where the shifter cables attach to the tranny. That will balance nicely, and nothing will break, it's easily strong enough.
If you don't have a cherry picker or trans jack, I'd rent one (cherry picker leaves you more room to manuver when you're putting it in place). Unless you're comfortable with bench pressing the tranny (it's do-able, but work) I'd rent one.
