EBC and External Wastegate

I am finally going to install the Blitz SBC-iD that I took off my old vr-4 a couple of years ago. Currently, the TD05 kit was originally set up by 3SX, where a hose runs from the back of the y-pipe to the input of the MBC, the output of the MBC runs to the top nipple of the external wastegates, and the bottom (side) of the wastegates have hoses that are left open. I could easily swap the EBC in directly for the MBC at the current setting. However, are their any benefits to set the EBC in a configuration like the picture below?

The diagram you posted can actually be improved with a 3 port EBC vs 2 port EBC. If you run it like the diagram then you're running an open vent on top of the EBC. To improve the setup you should run a 3 port EBC wherein the vent can be capped by a control solenoid and recirc'd back thru to the top of the wastegate which holds the wastegate closed. It leads to a faster spool of the turbo because you have no bleed off. It results in a sharper boost onset and more stable boost. With an open vent style like the one you depicted you're venting and bleeding boost pressure which is essentially the same thing as having a boost leak.

It will work, but will work better with a 3 port.

Looks like Jeff's site really does have everything.

Edit: I just realized that before I edited my last post, I had originally said thanks for the response and that I only have a 2 port EBC but would look into getting a 3 port EBC the next time I was in the market for another EBC. Then my mind went off track after I found the link above.
