    I think it's like 30 bucks for the game and you get a one month subscription. 15.99 every month thereafter or if you get enough ISK (in game money) you can buy an item on the market with your ISK that will add thirty days to the account, essentially making the game free.

    I tried to play EVE once.

    IMO it makes Star Trek Online play seem fast.
    I did not like that you don't actually steer your ship. (maybe that changes at higher levels)
    Their seemed to be serious lack of "fun" at lower levels.

    fwiw, alan, the assimiliated borg engines make traveling in sector space a LOT faster. TONS faster. i mean somewhere between warp 25-30 with slipstream drive. plus i also figured out that you can insta-warp between certain points if you change instances on the sector that you're in (since each sector has a "home-base" that you will appear in when you change instance). i can get from the trans-warp conduit to the sol system in 5 seconds using this method.
