I'll probably buy it next year when it drops in price a bit. I built a new comp a few months ago that I know has plenty of processing power, but didn't bother to upgrade my video card (which was about the bare minimum to play SC2) since I hardly ever play games on my comp anymore. So I'd probably need to buy a new card to play it anyway.
As of today, you can play it free for 30 days. Just download the starter kit. Best way to see if you will like a game is to try it.
