    I would think machining a groove on the rod and on the port would allow you to slide an o-rings in there. You would essentially need an inner seal and an outer seal Have them cut a v grove on both and use a 1mm thick rubber o-ring on the inner and outer.

    J.Fast- I don't think it is leaking where the shaft goes into the bearing. I think it is leaking for the outside of the bearing itself. There is nothing between bearing and the hole it goes into.

    Hans- That is what I was thinking. It's like they bored out the hole for the bearing too big, and decided to run with it anyway. The whole seal literally falls out when you take the metal keeper off, which I can easily pull off with a pair to tweezers. So, I don't know how they thought this was going to hold any amount of boost.

    First picture- all together
    Second picture- keeper removed and shaft comes out easily with bearing still attached
    Third picture- the oring on the shaft that goes into the inner metal sleeve of the bearing (this is the only part of the bearing that rotates)
    Fourth picture- The hole were the bearing goes
    Fifth picture- bearing put back in, you can see the hole is too big, the bearing just plops right in and falls right now. So, it does need something on the outside edge of the bearing.

    The rod would essentially look like a fuel rail adapter that's channel cut with the seal on it. That's an airtight seal and prolly actually really close to the same diameter. That seal might actually work on the rod.

    Do the same with the outer sleeve.

    Other option is to machine a groove just above the bearing, install a C clamp into the groove, and put an o-ring underneath it. Put a couple of thou of clearance in there so when a 1mm seal is compressed it creates an air tight seal to the outer ring of the bearing and the outer ring of the sleeve. Essentially it would be just like the seal on the input shaft bearing on a transmission .

    Larger O-ring on the shaft. It looks like it would seal much better if you chamfer the TB so you could fit a larger O-ring in there. Properly lubed

    It's leaking through the bearing itself I bet. Those are just dust shields on the ball bearing, NOT seals.

    Anyways, a shaft seal in the bottom of the bearing cavity would do it. Whether or not there's enough room to push the bearing outwards is a different matter. Poor design, they didn't think that through at all.

    Any machine shop could fix this in like 30 minutes flat. Im the shittiest machinest ever and I could do it. (After wasting a ton of material and nearly killing myself). Maybe im missing something, but how did CXracing miss this, it seams pretty obvious.

    I sent them, CXRacing, an email. This isn't my TB, so I can going to point this thread out to DuTTch. My job was to see if I could replace what I thought was a seal with an OEM type seal. However, I think we found the source of the leak...

    It sucks to spend all that money on something only to have to spend more money to fix a shitty design.
