NG - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Hopefully we'll get a rush of sign-ups after people see this. I think a lot of the time people just put off signing up until they have to. Either way I can't wait for it...

We're sure that being in Indy again is part of the issue. We tried but just ran out of options.

While I'm sure being the 3rd time is part of the issue I am not sure it should be. I know we had alot of new people last year for them its not eh 3rd time its only the 2nd . For me this is once a year to see people that I don't get see for the rest of the year. Its a chance to get out and see more 3S's in one place than anyplace else. While being in a new place is fun its the people the cars and the events I look forward to.

I had a question about extra events. Does doing an event help out more than just registering or does it only cover the cost of doing the event?

Yes doing an event help the bottom line.

We pay a flat amount for the insurance, car show, and the tracks.

The only event that has a per person cost is the banquet.

While being in a new place is fun its the people the cars and the events I look forward to.

I agree, it's the one time a year I can catch up with everyone... doesn't matter where it is to me!

One thing to keep in mind with the UMG sign ups, is anyone can sign up, and I'm sure 20% of the people that sign up for the UMG will not come. Since there is no money involved with signing up for the UMG, signing up really just means you ~might~ come. That being said, we'll probably end up with 45 to 50 3/Ses there and 75-80 people at the UMG.

The MN 3/S guys aren't going to the NG this year for two reasons. One, there is a huge import racing event that weekend that we really want to go to in Minnesota, and the second reason is the NG is at Indy for the third year in a row. Lori and Alan work there butts off doing the NG, and no one has more respect for that kind of dedication than I do. But for people to spend a lot of money and there vacation time to go to the NG, it has to be "special". And Indy for three years in a row is just not that "special" anymore.

I really hope the NG can pull through this year so we can have an NG 2013. Because I'd like the chance to go in 2013.

They just won't get to the same numbers as MI does
