    Customizing/custom body kit!

So, i got a body kit for a 3000gt awhile back and only picked it up because it ran me 300 for all 4 pieces.. now im thinking about cutting it, and the stock kit that on my car and combining to get the best features of both. anyone ever done something like this? Ive been told i can simply cut straight lines on both and then theres an automotive body glue i can use to glue the 2 together and with the glue holding em together I can fiberglass over the crack and sand/body putty to a flush. anyone have any experience with "splicing" 2 differet bumpers together?

only time i've ever seen it done was a guy who literally sewed them together with wire & then glassed over it.

i'm not a fan of most FG body parts (especially bumpers), and splicing dis-similar materials together doesn't usually work out well in the long run.

If you're okay with it breaking over time...just reinforce the seam with matte. Or better yet, turn it into a plug, make a mold, and then make a stronger copy instead of doing it the duct tape way.
