My new motor is fixed, thanks to Ray P - a true class act

Here is my short story reposted here to give proper respect to Ray and Pampena Motorsports for saving my car and saving me from a heart attack...

A few months ago, one of my pistons grenaded in my old tired motor and she went into the shop. When I started looking at options for a new motor or rebuild, I decided to go with the Stage 2 option that Pampena offers. His shop is 150 miles away, so I decided to have his block installed at Cherry Hill since they did my transmission swap and all my other major work with no problems. Everything went smooth as butter and a few weeks later I was driving my car again... for 2 days... then it started to run bad after 120 miles. This is the short version of the story so... It was a broken thrust washer on the crankshaft. Ray Pampena went above and beyond his warranty because he knew how much money I had just spent to get this motor and have it installed and I had no money to pay for another installation. He came and picked up my car, took it to his shop, and did the entire fix. This man never even let me worry about anything, and every question I had was answered perfectly. At one point I asked him a question here in a PM (on the other site) and he called me back on the phone before I could even look to see if he answered. I have no clue what I would have done if I had no car after spending all that money and having no money left for labor to do it again. I get sad just thinking about it. But my point here is that Ray recognized that and as a business man, a class act, a true honorable person, he made sure that I didn't have to face that outcome. It wasn't even a favor, Ray hardly knows me. I wish there were more people like this guy out there today who stood behind their word and stood behind their work. Not with just a warranty, but with their actions and their ability to help customers when a warranty can't help the situation. Kudos, Ray! You will continue to prosper in everything you do!

Yes Ray, I will see you in Ocean City this weekend! Thank you! You really did save me from what would have been a huge disaster for me.

you can bet where I'm getting my shortblock from when my store picks back up. If ray runs one of those stage 3 motors without a core for sale I'm going to be all over it.

Ive always had great experiences with Ray and his shop. He treats every car that comes in as if it were his own. def a great guy to do business with.

ray is indeed a quality builder, talented tuner and just a generally great guy.

sounds like he really went above and beyond here i've got to say, don't know anyone else who would have done this, even under warranty.

I have never had any business deals with Ray, but have met him at a few NG's.

Good people generate good vibes. Intelligent people draw attention when they talk. Friendly people extend their hand when approached.

Ray IS this person.
