Went to the track this weekend!!!

So the Carolina crew has been trying to get out to the track now for some time. Last event we had planned got rained out. We got lucky this weekend finally. The track is almost three hours from me plus I was hauling the trailer along. I was more out there to just have a little fun and not break anything. Considering the distance I traveled and I had the trailer I couldn't afford to brake anything.

I had done some work to the engine mainly getting the timing right. First run was at 12-13psi and a really soft launch cause I'm paranoid didn't want to cause any damage. 2.30 60' 14.3 ET at 104.5 MPH. This was also my best run of the day. Now considering my MPH at 104.5 If I had a decent launch and a good 60' I should be in the high 12's low 13's I'm guessing. I am just glad I made it into the 100's MPH for the run. Last time at the track the car topped out at 96mph.....

Got the car back checked the logs and turned up the boost. Should be at about 14-15 psi now.

Second run I was not in a solid frame of mind....LOL Got up to stage and the guy running the lights yells to me "Roll up your window, I don't want you getting sucked out of that thing" Then proceeds to hit the lights as I'm rolling up the window....... Yeah missed third.....DAMN HIM....LMAO

Third run I shifted too early 2-3 and bogged a little, my own fault. Still had a rough 2.60 60' and rolled in to a 14.6 at 101.3 mph.

Got back to the pit and noticed I was leaking coolant heavily. Found out that the sensor on the overflow bottle had busted out and all fluid in the overflow bottle was leaking out. Tracked down a Gatorade bottle and fashioned up a temp overflow bottle. Decided to call it a day as I didn't want to push it with the busted bottle issue.

The drive home was slow stopping periodically to check the bottle and coolant levels. I got home, pulling the trailer without any issue.

All in all it was a great day at the track. I was really hoping to leave with a 13s slip but hey, I drove to the track pulling a trailer, got in some runs and drove it home with the trailer, I call that a pretty satisfying day to me. One of these days I'm really push a hard launch out of her when I'm closer to home and see what she really has. I know she has 12s times in her, I've just always been to far away to risk her breaking down.....

    Not bad

I think this is the 1st time I've seen your trailer. It looks great! I might get Hans to make me one someday.

I don't know the actual weight. I can move it around without any issue. Tongue weight I'm guessing around 30-40lbs so it rides really well on the car. I had the trailer fully packed with tools, fluids, chairs, canopy etc; and didn't have any issues at all pulling it.

Yeah stock 9b's on a 10:1 at 13psi. I never got a chance to make a run at 16psi like I had hoped to. GUess it will have to wait until the next time I go to the track. probably this fall.....
