This car is in Raleigh, NC
I bought this car a couple years ago from a 3SI member with thoughts of taking it apart and selling it for parts, but I ended up fixing most of its issues (mainly clutch) and making it considerably more drivable. I've actually been DDing it for a while now, but I'm not really attached to it and I'd like to pass it on. The car was originally a porno red interior car but all the carpet and leather has been replaced with black. That means you get a black/charcoal headliner though, nice!
I'll be as honest as I possibly can about the car. There were a lot of surprises with this car when I got it. Most things I've taken care of though.
The good:
just over 95,000 miles
RobBeck 13Ts
RC 550s
Denso Supra pump with hotwire
AEM EMS tuned to 400awhp at 17psi
giant old school DR FMIC
HKS SSQV bov
Full ATR exhaust (downpipe and catback)
Tein Flex coilovers
Spec Stage 1 clutch (maybe 2000 miles)
Unorthodox UD pulley
ACPT 1 piece CFDS (the kind that replaced the front 2 sections of the DS)
Flex-a-lite fans
3SX egr blockoff
Slotted brake rotors and SS braided lines
Koyo aluminum radiator
Maximal Performance solid motor mounts
CF hood w/aerocatch latches and no hood blisters
Decent leather
Stereo replaced with Sony headunit and amp + speakers (at least the doors, never pulled the rear panels)
18x9 saleen replica wheels w/practically new 245/35/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires
Metal dash vents (3sx I think) powdercoated black.
The bad:
crappy rear bumper (erebuni molded to top part of RT bumper and needs repair or better yet replacement) (see pictures)
Lower window trim is showing silver.
dents on passenger door (can be easily PDR'd I bet) (see pictures)
Rear hatch has poor paint/repair job from where someone once had an aluminum wing on it)
Scuffs here and there, the worst is some chipping near the front of the passenger side fender (see pictures)
CF hood doesn't fit awesome (the driver's side corner near the windshield sits low) (see pictures)
Driver's side headlight could stand to retract another 1/4 inch or so. (see pictures)
AC needs recharge
A little bolster wear on the seats and one small puncture on the driver's side bottom left bolster (see pictures)
Fans are currently hotwired to a switch in the car (the way they are wired they overload the factory circuit). I'll probably fix this before the car
FMIC piping doesn't fit awesome, mainly the first pipe coming off the rear turbo and the main up pipe going to the TB (it interferes with the stock coolant overflow tank, as such there is a temporary one mounted instead) (see pictures)
3inch catalytic convertor is welded to the downpipe lol
Center gauges are replaced with some ProSports that I don't particularly love, and the oil gauge is either bad or the sending unit is bad, I have it disconnected at the moment).
AEM EMS needs a better cruising tune. It gets about 15mpg city or highway, doesn't matter which lol
Transmission is leaking, grinds going into 3rd quickly or at high RPM, first is sometimes hard to get in to.
Radio antenna decides when it wants to go up or down.
Things that I did when I got the car:
New clutch (a spring had popped out of the old one locking the whole mechanism up) by replacing with a brand new Spec Stage 1
Actually bolted the transmission to the engine (when I went to do the clutch I found that the tranny wasn't even bolted on, just sandwiched in there).
New front passenger CV axle
New front wheel hubs/bearings
Replaced main gauge cluster (it had some really crappy white faced/indiglo gauges and all the needles were inaccurate). I found a cluster with mileage within about 500 miles, so all good there
I think that's everything. In the pictures you don't see the exhaust because I'm driving it around without it right now haha.
So with all that said I'd like to see $5000 which is a little less than I got it for and doesn't include the new parts and troubleshooting I've thrown at it.
If you want to go to $6000 I will throw in a ~60k 6speed transmission w/ xfer case and differential (you need to find shifter cables and a driveshaft). The transmission has been modified with the 3S Motorsports/Pampena bellhousing brace. Hell, I'll even throw in another front diff that has an SFR insert (fake lsd) and "MR" gears if you want to run the shorter ratio and not have to change the rear diff.
You can easily drive this car home. As I said I'm currently DDing it
Come at me!
